My sister and I were recently put in a boat together. I am a cox and she is rower. It is a bowloader 4 and she is bow seat. Its so weird being in the same boat as her, especialy because she has been rowing with the poeple in my baot longer than I have. I feel like I can't bond w/ my boat cause shes in it and is better friends w/ the rowers. She dosen't seem to mind much but i do sometimes. Any advice, please tell me.

Sorry that I can't help you personally, but there are a pair of identical twins on my team, one was bowman and one was coxie in one of our jv girls boats last year, I metioned your post to one of them and gave them this internet sight and hopeflly one of them will get on here and be able to help you out!

dominate, take charge, gain respect for what you do, the rest will come, if she needs to be told what to do, tell her, just make sure she understands that rowing is not family, not personal etc, if you quiver you will show yourself up as the little sister, be asertive and you may find she respects you more at home as well...

hey, im in the exact situation with my crew, i am a coxie and my brother is 7 seat, i dont really know what it is, but i have this bond with im and it seems like we are more friends then we are brother and sister, i just kind of ignore the fact that hes my brother and acnowlege that he can help me with my coxing. although everyone in the boat is older than me, i still find a way to become friends with them and do things with them out of rowing to get that crew bondage that we need...
