Hey did ya miss me? Haha. The past, god how long has it been(?), month or so has been way too crazy. I got back from Boston on Sunday and that was a whole column in it self. I can't even begin to describe the whole ordeal.

To get the main points across, we got in an unavoidable crash with ORU, and finished 9th , during practice on Saturday morning I made the MIT varsity men's 8 clash oars with the port side abutment of the rail road bridge which confirmed my "Da Shit" status with my guys, and bounced back and forth between loving the guys and wanting to donkey punch them in the head. All in all it was a good experience. I finally told my stroke seat that I was intimidated by the guys and that I had spent the last two months wondering if I was good enough to be in the boat or whether I should quit before HOC and never come back or just finish the season and never come back. Luckily I'm not doing either.

Well prior to Boston we had a little breaking up to do. Pat, my seven seat, quit for the season. There was a lot of personal issues involved in his decision. (Due to the nature of his personal issues, I don't feel right making his personal life public knowledge.) The stroke from the JV, Abe, moved up to sit 4. So the new lineup is Chris (8), Will (7, switch back to starboard), Yurij (6), John (5), Abe (4), Jamie (3), Kevin (2),and Ben our savage bow seat. (His beard makes him look like he will eat you for breakfast.)

Basically school is hard, Boston was fun, the boat changed, I am super jet lagged and I hope that you didn't miss me too much. (Don't you love my charm? LoL!!) I am feeling so sleep deprived right now that I really have to get to bed. I will try and keep you more updated. Again PLEASE SEND FEEDBACK ON ANYTHING!!!! I love to hear from you guys!!!!!!!!

Never forget to fight.

I hope you had a good time.... sounds like such an ordeal... I hope I can get into a rowing program in university where I can go to HOC. Is your school's program by chance willing to offer full rides to coxswains?

Actually I cox for a junior club. Sorry! But I am also looking for colleges that will give me money to cox. Man being in Boston with all those incredible schools was crazy. Since I'm only a junior I can't visit any schools but six of my seven senior guys did. We had guys visiting Princeton, Harvard, Yale, Northeastern, Brown, and I think Georgetown. I was going so crazy thinking about next year! I can't wait to see who I get to visit and get recruited by.

If you can't find any schools around BC or canada, try looking at schools around the US. Or your coach might have connections to UVic. Coaches are always a good thing. If you're a senior or junior TALK TO COACHES!!!! I don't know about canada, but in the US as a junior they coaches can't contact you (NCAA rules kinda suck for juniors) but you can contact them. I'm not sure how much they can talk to you but definetly start talking. If you start talking as a junior just think about how much more they will know you by the time next year comes!

Anyways, good luck with schools and maybe I'll see you in spring. (you cox varstiy at VCRC?)

Isn't everyone? I really want to get recruited to schools because I can only really afford four years at an in state school or four years at a crap school or a year or two at a really good school like Brown. We'll see.
